Situated on the Sandstone & Shale Clifftop overlooking Bungan Beach, Clifftop House garden's role is to frame and complement the site’s picturesque view of the Sydney Coastline.

The front entry garden celebrates the Sydney Coastal environment with sandstone retaining walls and a reclaimed sandstone bench seat nestled into the garden beneath a Coastal Banksia Tree (Banksia integrifolia) and an iconic to Sydney Frangipani.

A mix of native and exotic species creates a colourful, biodiverse flowering entrance that complements the generous sandstone steps at the front of the home. Well-established existing site boundary species such as the existing Banksia species frame the garden, creating movement and depth.

In the rear garden, Coastal Clifftop and Heath Species were carefully selected to weather the exposed location, with a feature Coastal TeaTree (Leptospermum laevigatum) and layers of planting including Coastal Bearded Heath ( Leucopogon parviflorus), Heath Myrtle (Baekea imbricata) & Saltbush (Rhagodia spinesens). These species complement the broken sandstone paving, which is an important tie to the geology of the site. At the Apex of the garden lies a timber lookout to view the coastline and horizon. With the material left to silver off and embrace the incredible aspect.

The roof gardens carry a mixed palette of coastal dune species to thrive in the exposed conditions and lush shade loving species for the shadier zones.
